A team of young volunteers currently runs Helambu Project USA. They spend their time and energy between jobs, school, and their personal lives to do what they can to serve the people of Helambu the best they can.
Beau Miller, Executive Director
Beau Miller has been involved with VEC and Helambu Project since 2008. He has designed and implemented VEC projects, and outreach and fundraising campaigns. He is currently a Master’s candidate in Syracuse University’s International Relations program, where he studies Global Development Policy and Transnational Organization Leadership.

David Mabry became involved with Helambu Project USA, Inc. in 2010. He spent 2 years with Grassroots Campaigns, Inc. as the National Payroll Director and has spent the last 4 years at Philips Color Kinetics as a Senior Financial Analyst. He has a BS in Human Resource Development from the University of Minnesota and lives in Boston, MA.

Daniel Coyle, Nepal Country Director
Daniel Coyle first came to Nepal as a Fulbright Scholar in 2008 and began working with VEC in 2009. Since then, he has joined Helambu Project US and currently lives Nepal and coordinates volunteers, projects, and resources for Helambu Project USA. He has his BA in International Relations and Comparative Cultural Politics and is interested in various heritage and oral literature projects in the region; the subject of his Fulbright research.

Birgitta first came to Nepal in the spring of 2009 to work as a volunteer with VEC. She is passionate about issues of cultural, community, and environmental sustainability. Since returning to the U.S., Birgitta has initiated various fundraising and outreach efforts for Helambu Project. She has an A.B. in Comparative Religion with a minor in Economics from Bowdoin College. Birgitta currently lives and works in Maine.

Christopher Limburg, Project Manager
Christopher got involved with Helambu Project in 2008 by fundraising. In 2009, he found himself on the ground in Helambu with the support of a Fulbright grant. Since then, he has been researching environmental difference in the area. Stateside, Christopher is working on a PhD in Geography at the University of Wisconsin. With Helambu Project, he handles educational policy; Dharma connections; and scouting new projects. For fun, Christopher bushwhacks jungle in the footsteps of Helambu’s great meditators.

Danielle Preiss, Project Manager
Danielle first came to the Himalayan region as a student in 2005 while pursuing a BA in psychology. She became connected with VEC while in Nepal as a Fulbright Scholar in 2009 and has continued to work with VEC and Helambu Project on fundraising, volunteer recruitment and other projects.

Ola Perczynska, Project Manager
Ola Perczynska first visited Nepal in 2008, shortly after she completed her Masters in Culture and Society in the Center for Social Studies in Warsaw, Poland. She coordinates volunteers, writes grant proposals, and organizes fund raising events both in Poland and Nepal. She is also working on the Oral Literature project with Danny and several other international volunteers.
